Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 26 March 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Sidemarket LLC ("Sidemarket," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our platform at sidemarket.io

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. They help the website recognize your device and remember things like whether you are logged in. We also use local storage, which works similarly but stays on your device until you clear it, and server-set tokens, which our infrastructure providers use to manage sessions and protect against automated abuse. Throughout this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies" unless we need to make a distinction.

2. Cookies We Use

We organize cookies on our platform into three categories: strictly necessary, functional, and analytics.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the platform to work. Without them, you cannot log in, stay authenticated, or use core features. You cannot disable these cookies without losing access to fundamental platform functionality. They include our authentication cookies (provided by Supabase, which maintain your logged-in session), our bot management and security challenge cookies (provided by Cloudflare, which protect the platform from automated abuse and last between 15 and 30 minutes), and our consent preference cookie (provided by Cloudflare Zaraz, which remembers your cookie choices for 12 months so you are not asked every time you visit).

Functional Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make, such as whether you prefer dark mode or light mode, so the platform looks consistent each time you visit. They do not track your activity across other websites. Currently, the only functional cookie we use stores your display theme preference in your browser's local storage. It stays until you clear it.

Analytics Cookies

We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our platform, identify issues, and improve performance. These cookies are provided by Google Analytics 4, managed through

Cloudflare Zaraz. They collect anonymized, non-personally-identifiable data such as a random visitor identifier to distinguish unique visitors (stored for up to 2 years, or 7 days on Safari browsers), and session identifiers that help us group page views within a single visit (these expire when you close your browser).

These analytics cookies are only set after you give your consent through our cookie banner. If you do not consent, no analytics cookies will be placed on your device and Cloudflare Zaraz will not load the analytics tools at all. The specific analytics cookies on sidemarket.io may change as we update our configuration, and we will update this policy when that happens.

3. Third-Party Services

Some cookies on our platform are set by third-party services we rely on for infrastructure, security, and analytics. These are trusted technology providers, not advertisers or ad networks. We do not use any advertising or tracking cookies.

Cloudflare provides our security (bot management) and privacy-focused analytics. Cloudflare processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy and acts as a data processor on our behalf. Supabase provides our authentication system. Supabase session cookies are used solely to manage your login and are not shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

We do not sell, share, or otherwise provide cookie data to advertisers or data brokers.

4. How to Manage Cookies

Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options in your browser's "Settings," "Preferences," or "Privacy" menu. From there, you can view, delete, or block cookies. For specific instructions, consult the help documentation for your browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

To clear your theme preference, you can clear all site data through your browser's privacy settings. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies (authentication and security cookies), you will not be able to log in or use the platform.

5. Cookie Consent

How we ask for your consent. When you first visit sidemarket.io from a jurisdiction that requires cookie consent (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other applicable jurisdictions), you will see a cookie consent banner with three options: "Accept All" (which enables all cookie categories), "Reject All" (which blocks everything except strictly necessary cookies), and "Manage Preferences" (which lets you choose individual categories). All three options are presented on the same screen, you do not need to navigate to a secondary page to reject cookies. "Accept All" and "Reject All" are given equal prominence. If you close the banner or navigate away without making a choice, non-essential cookies remain blocked. Your choice is saved in a consent preference cookie so we remember it on future visits.

What requires consent and what does not.Strictly necessary cookies (authentication, security, and your consent preference) do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive and UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because they are essential for providing the service you requested. Analytics cookies require your prior opt-in consent, they are blocked by default and will not be set unless you affirmatively accept them. Functional cookies (such as your theme preference) are set only when you take a specific action (like toggling dark mode) and do not require separate consent.

Changing your mind. You can withdraw your consent or change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of any page on sidemarket.io. This reopens the consent panel where you can update your choices. Withdrawing consent is designed to be as easy as giving it. When you withdraw consent for analytics cookies, we will deactivate them and instruct your browser to delete any that were previously set. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings as described in Section 4, though the consent banner is the easiest method.

Browser privacy signals.Sidemarket honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request under the California Consumer Privacy Act and other applicable US state privacy laws. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and non-essential cookies will not be set. Sidemarket does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals because there is no standard for how websites should interpret them. However, since we do not engage in cross-site tracking or sell personal data, your browsing is not tracked across other websites regardless of your DNT setting. For more details, see Section 4.3 of our Privacy Policy.

Your rights. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that requires cookie consent, you have the right to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set, to withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie Preferences" link, to request information about what data our cookies have collected by contacting privacy@sidemarket.io, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been violated (see Section 11 of our Privacy Policy for the relevant authorities). If you are a California resident, no cookies on sidemarket.io are used to sell or share your personal information. GPC signals are honored as described above. For questions about your California privacy rights related to cookies, contact privacy@sidemarket.io or see Section 11b of our Privacy Policy.

6. Changes & Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

If we ever introduce new categories of non-essential cookies (such as advertising or marketing cookies), we will update this policy and present a new consent prompt before setting any such cookies. Where required by law, we will obtain your fresh consent before any new non-essential cookies are placed on your device. Changes to cookie categories that materially affect how your personal data is processed are subject to Section 14 of our Privacy Policy.

If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or our use of cookies, please contact us at: privacy@sidemarket.io.
